Comparison:
What QC's Design BFA page does well is that it is concise about what students can expect when it comes to the program. One thing the QC website has that SVA doesn't have initial showcased is a comprehensive course list and program.
However, the website leaves much to be desired when compared to SVA's page. SVA is selling an experience to its prospective students. It includes many valuable sections such as student work and videos describing the "life of a student". These sections give insight on what students can expect but also the bar that is set by SVA students.
Design wise the SVA website offers more as well. The tabs are much easier to navigate as the sections take less clicks to get to where the user wants to get to. In the QC site, many of the hyper links duplicates and sections are buried under many other sections. The sections are consolidated in a more user friendly way. There are many distinct textures on the page as well, for example, the pull quote with its distinct size, coloring, and font choice, divides the page in a way that's more engaging. The design also includes dividers that break up the text, various sizing of sections with more long sections at the bottom. SVA also uses icons for social media and its brand to make sure navigating their pages are easier.
